STEMNET and Deloitte are challenging 11-14 year olds to find out where and how more disabled people could take part in Paralympic sports.
The Challenge is to help disabled people in your school and local area learn more about the opportunities available to them to participate in Paralympic sports. For their Challenge entries, pupils must produce information about what is currently available in their local area, and then make recommendations to increase the Paralympic sport provision both in school and their local area.
PLEASE NOTE: Teams are NOT required to submit a competition entry by this date - all competition entries will be judged at a local event between 1st and 9th December 2011.
The top 8 teams from across the UK will be selected to compete in the National Final on Wednesday 11th January in London.

An opportunity for Maths teachers to link with local volunteers from STEM industries and develop ways to work together to create enriching Maths activities for pupils.
This event is free to attend and is organised by Leicestershire Edcuation Business Company.
This free course is intended for anyone who is currently running or is considering running a STEM or STEM-related club (e.g. a science club, maths club etc.) and would like to include more Engineering into their programme of activities.
The session looks at creating positive images of engineering, and breaking down negative stereotypes to highlight the diverse and creative elements of engineering. It also offers a selection of activity ideas and access to support resources. The session has been developed with the specialist and non specialist in mind.
Come along, network with club leaders, get plenty of activity ideas and develop your club.
