Darwin comes to Nottingham

by Guest Blogger: Amy Turner 2. November 2009 16:36

Local students films are now ‘up in lights’ on the side of the Royal Centre in Nottingham. Passers by will be able to marvel at the student’s short films on the theme of evolution.  The film projection takes place at dusk and shows a glimpse of four films (images only and no sound) which support Darwin200 and celebrate how Darwin’s ideas on evolution have affected our lives.

Students from St Pauls Catholic School in Leicester, Robert Smyth School in Leicestershire, St Thomas More Catholic School in Buxton, and Queen Eleanor Technology College in Stamford, have all worked with professional filmmakers to communicate the concept of evolution in a creative way.  The films form part of Ignition*’s Sci-Art Fusions project and will be running until February 2010.
