The East Midlands STEM Partnership hosts Forum Events twice a year, for all regional partners across the STEM skills agenda. They provide excellent networking opportunities, as well as updating partners on national and regional STEM policy.
The last Forum Event took place on Wednesday 29th April 2009 (9.00am-1.30pm) at The Henry Ford College, Loughborough. The event provided an opportunity to hear about the Government’s new careers project, STEM Subject Choice and Careers and showcased East Midlands’ STEM projects, highlighting creative approaches and excellent partnership working. There was also workshops for each city and county to allow delegates to share and build and on what has been achieved since the last Forum Event in November 2008 and work together to increase impact regionally. "These forum events are essential. The last one led to valuable links and partnerships that enabled me to successfully complete many of the targets and expand our vision of what we can do as a project. As a complete novice to this whole arena of STEM outreach, these events and links have been a lifeline."
