The region’s a great place for new start ups, established multinationals and relocating companies; it’s a good, central location with a terrific infrastructure and comparatively low living costs. We also have the UK’s highest proportion of graduates active in the labour market.
But to stay competitive, we have to meet the growing need for highly skilled workers with science, technology, engineering and mathematical (STEM) backgrounds. As a company you have influence and power and can play an active role in encouraging more young people to take up these subjects.
